How to reach Bhutan
Traveling to Bhutan has become much easier in recent years, due to the country’s well-planned economic development.
Paro International Airport is the only airport to enter Bhutan from India by air. The only fight to operate to and from India is the Druk Air.
To reach Bhutan from India, take a train to Hasimara or New Alipurduar stations, then book a shared taxi, individual cab, or bus to get to Bhutan from the border town of Phuentsholing.
Bhutan is easily accessible by road from India through three land borders – Phuentsholing, Gelephu, and Samdrup Jongkhar. The journey takes approximately three hours from Guwahati or Siliguri to reach Bhutan.
