Tour itinerary

The flight to Bhutan offers some of the most breathtaking mountain views, including the majestic peaks of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Jomolhari, Jichu Drakey, and Tserim Gang.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Thimphu. On the way, there will be a stop at Tachhogang, where you can enjoy a short hike across the suspension bridge to the Tachhogang Temple perched on a hilltop. Once you arrive in Thimphu, check in at your hotel and take some time to explore the town. Overnight at hotel

Start your day by dressing in traditional Bhutanese attire with your guide’s help, perfect for family photos at the majestic Buddha Dordenma, which offers stunning views over Thimphu Valley. Then, visit the peaceful Memorial Chorten, where children can observe local rituals.

Explore the Painting School, where kids can watch students practicing traditional Bhutanese arts and even try sketching. Enjoy a lively archery match at Changlimithang Ground, Bhutan’s national sport, before heading to Sangaygang for a scenic family hike to Wangditse Temple, with a stop to meet the friendly Takin, Bhutan’s national animal.

End the day with a fun calligraphy session with a monk, where the whole family can try writing in Bhutanese script—a meaningful and creative experience for all ages.

After breakfast, set off on a scenic family drive from Thimphu to the Dochula Pass, where breathtaking mountain views and the 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens offer a perfect stop for photos and a short walk. As you descend, the landscape transforms into a lush, semi-tropical setting, filled with exotic plants sure to captivate children’s curiosity.

Continue to Wangdue Dzong for a family-friendly visit, followed by a cultural stop at Nobding Village. Then head toward the Phobjikha Valley, passing the majestic Black Mountains along the way. Before settling in, take a detour to the valley, home to the rare Black-Necked Cranes.

In the evening, attend a peaceful prayer ceremony at Gangtey Monastery, offering a meaningful moment of calm and reflection for the whole family. Overnight hotel in Phobjikha

In the morning, visit a local farmhouse and join the villagers in a hands-on cow milking experience—a fun and memorable activity for both children and adults. Afterwards, set out on a gentle, family-friendly hike from your hotel to Khewa Lhakhang, a small and charming temple nestled in the valley.

Continue your walk through the stunning glacial landscape of Phobjikha, surrounded by sweeping views and peaceful nature. Upon reaching Gangtey, take time to explore the village and visit the tranquil Gangtey Monastery, offering a quiet moment of reflection and discovery for the whole family.

Return to the hotel for a delicious lunch, then spend the afternoon on a scenic horse ride through the Phobjikha Valley—a fun and exciting way for children and parents alike to experience the valley’s natural beauty.

Embark on a family-friendly drive to Punakha, where you'll visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, beautifully located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. After exploring the Dzong, enjoy a leisurely walk to Changyul and cross Bhutan's longest suspension bridge, offering exciting views for the whole family.

Next, head further north and take a peaceful walk through the rice fields to reach the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Temple, which offers panoramic views of the Punakha Valley. On the return, enjoy a fun and safe rafting adventure on the Mo Chhu River, making this a memorable day for the entire family. Overnight hotel in Punakha 

Altitude: 1200 m |  Drive: 2 Hours | Distance: 80 km

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Punakha to Ha. Along the way, stop to visit the historic Dobji Dzong, a lesser-known gem that offers fascinating insights into Bhutan’s history and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It's a great spot for the family to explore and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful site.
Continue your journey towards Haa, where you'll arrive in the afternoon. The family will then set up camp in a picturesque location, surrounded by the natural beauty of the valley. Enjoy a peaceful evening in the great outdoors, with opportunities for archery – Bhutan’s national sport – perfect for a fun family challenge.

As the sun sets, gather around a campfire for a cozy evening of stories, songs, and laughter. Enjoy the warmth of the fire and the starry sky above as you share special moments together.

After breakfast, set off on a scenic drive from Haa to Paro, crossing the spectacular Chele La Pass (3,988 meters)—one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan. Make a few scenic stops along the way to admire the sweeping mountain views and let the kids stretch their legs in the fresh alpine air—an ideal setting for memorable family photos.

Upon arriving in Paro, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the swimming pool. It's the perfect opportunity for everyone to unwind, have fun in the water, and enjoy some quiet family downtime.

In the evening, visit a traditional farmhouse where your family will learn how to cook a local Bhutanese dish alongside your hosts—an authentic and fun culinary experience, followed by a warm and hearty farmhouse dinner. Overnight hotel in Paro 

Altitude: 2,300 m |  Drive: 2 hours | Distance: 80 km

After breakfast, take a short 15-minute drive to the starting point of the hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as the “Tiger’s Nest.” This iconic and sacred site offers a memorable family adventure. The trail winds through scenic pine forests, with picturesque viewpoints along the way, making it an exciting journey for both children and adults. Take breaks to enjoy the views and hear the fascinating story of Guru Rimpoche, who meditated in a cave here in the 8th century. The monastery, perched 800 meters above the valley, is sure to captivate the entire family.

On your way back, stop at Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most serene temples—ideal for a peaceful family visit. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll through Paro town, where you can explore local shops, try traditional Bhutanese snacks, and experience the town’s relaxed atmosphere.
